A Mythical Form of Wonder

Daraitan, Tanay, Rizal/General Nacar, Quezon 

Tinipak River “tee-nee-phuk” (carved rock) is a natural wonder in Daraitan. Most of the visitors address the place as  Daraitan or  Tanay, because,  of the geographical location of the river started in Daraitan in Tanay Rizal.

The river is awarded as the cleanest inland water  in Region IV

and a finalist for national competition in the same category.

best kept secret just few kilometers away from the Metropolis.

 A remote paradise in the midst  of high mountain, set beautifully
in a lush of green grasses and tree’s.

it gives a beautiful rhythm.

 Trekking

The giant size of white marble scattered along the river side are
a wonder in the eyes of the trekkers…

Barangay Daraitan to Barangay  Manggahan, takes  around
1 to 1.5 hour trekking, more or less,  depend on the pacing.

Trail is well define, some are cemented, some are wet during rainy days.

 From Barangay Mangahan (Camp Site), going downstream  of Tinipak River
(General Nacar, Quezon)  takes around 30 – 45 minutes of trekking.

A little bit technical, but manageable.

A daring adventure and a  rewarding experience.

The trail is rewarded of clean and refreshing scenery of running
water-river. Stunning view of massive rock formation
and beautiful landscape.

Tinipak River gives an adventure in different level
in every season of the year.

During Summer

The serene beauty of the place remain awesome, but for those
adventourous soul,  shallow water gives the adventure less challenging.

Rainy Days

This season are more trilling getting in this river. The rapid of
the river enhance more trill for water activities of adventure seeker.

During Typhoon

Not advisable to proceed  for this place, where bouldering and
rock climbing is required just to get out of the place.

Getting Inside Baranggay Daraitan.

There’s a disposable bridge constructed only during summer. When rainy days start, the bridge was removed because of overflowing of  water in the river during rainy days…

 During rainy days you need to take banca to cross the other side of the river bank.

 All visitors are required to register in Baranggay Hall of Daraitan. PHP 10.00 per head. From here you can ask a drinking/trail water for free, you can also use their toilet. Getting guide is optional, where the direction of the river is easy,  locals are very kind to teach you the right direction. Guide fee cost around PHP. 200.00 per group.

 Getting There.

Option 1.

From Shaw Boulevard ride a passenger jeep bound for Tanay Market.  From Tanay Market there a jeep bound directly to Daraitan. Unfortunately jeepney schedule going Daraitan is twice a day only, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Option 2.

Jeepney bound to Santa Lucia East Grand Mall, then another ride to Tanay Market, then another jeepney ride going to Sampaloc

 Option 3

If you are in a large group, the easiest way from Tanay Market  is to hire a jeeney going to Daraitan.

Option 4

Ride with the habal habal, one person only cost around 100 t0 150.
